2009 was a landmark year for Sharam which saw him release his debut solo album and wrap things up in style by winning the BBC Radio One Essential Mix Of The Year. His album ‘Get Wild’ and its singles have brought him much acclaim and allowed him to showcase his unrivaled talent for producing chart bound hits, alongside head turning underground gems. His dedication to quality of music rather than genre saw the inclusion of some memorable tunes on Get Wild, of which he has picked Kill (Techno), Say Yeah and Texi for re-interpretation by three of his favorite artists, Alan Fitzpatrick, Dimitri Andreas and DJ Simi & Masterkeys on the ‘The Last Draw EP’.

In their original incarnations, each track garnered support from the worlds DJ elite. Effortlessly crossing boundaries, all three
were equally at home on the floors of Cocoon as they were Pacha. As the name suggests, ‘The Last Draw E.P.’ draws the Get Wild campaign to a close, as Sharam moves on to the next chapter and a new album.

First up on remix duties today is Alan Fitzpatrick with his re-envisioning of Kill (Techno). Fresh from an incredible 2009, that saw him release and remix for labels including Drumcode, Bedrock, Excentric Musik and of course his own 8 Sided Dice, Alan takes the darkest of the three tracks and whilst keeping the industrial sounds and feel, opens it up a little with some space in the mix.

Yoshitoshi and Systematic artist Dimitru Andreas gets to grips with ‘Say Yeah ft. Chuck D’, and immediately sets about taming the originals big rave keys. Chopping them into short, sharp stabs, he teases us, until finally relenting and bringing on the rave.

Finally another Yoshitoshi duo, Simi and Masterkeys take good care of the incredible ‘Texi’. The club smash has been a huge favourite, and as such remixing it is a daunting task. The pair have done a wonderful job, taking the sheer magnitude of the track and reducing it by adding deep, smooth synths, and a funky, delicate groove.

This fantastic remix package completes the Get Wild campaign in the finest of fashions.
