“U.S. dance icon, Sharam, has been voted Essential Mix of The Year by BBC Radio 1’s listeners. Sharam’s 2 hour mix was originally broadcast on August 29th; alongside a slew of his own productions and remixes, his set featured tracks and remixes from Ennio Morricone, Nic Fancuilli, Kid Cudi, Okain, DJ Pierre, Joris Voorn, D-Unity, Cedric Gervais, Steve Aoki, and more.

Sharam Said: “It’s a real honour to win this prestigious award given the illustrious list of previous winners and especially as the competition this year was so tough. His winning mix will be broadcast in an Essential Mix special on 26 December from 5am GMT, and will be available to listen again for seven days.
