Gumball 3000, Day 4 Part 1 ‘Trip to NYC’ Photo Diary
Fourth & final day of Gumball 3000. We’re heading to Niagara Falls for a pitstop and onward to NYC. It’s a 7-9 hour journey but for us it ended up being a 12 hour one. Ultra Supper Club was off the hook last night, but I’m certainly paying for it this morning – after only 3 hours of sleep! By the end of the day we will have been through more drama having been pulled over 3 times with another 4 stops for gas/oil check (yup driving a 40 year old classic has it’s downfalls…)
Today is the first day that we are driving the Bee full day and getting to know what she can do with the new suspension and breaks that were put in. The ride is great, but we can’t go past 70 Miles without putting too much pressure on the engine.
Having said that I could get the car to 100 miles plus where the true power of the 426 Hemi engine comes to fruition… but only for a few minutes/miles as we didn’t want to blow up the engine… at one point I was proud to see my Bee torque on with Amro’s (the Saudi prince who goes by Prince Gumball) Stainless Steel Lamborghini from 70 to 110 Miles. John, who was my muscle car guardian angel, gave me a dirty look and I pulled her back to 70 MPH. Not that i could keep up with the silver Lambo for longer anyway… but at 495 HP plus.. who knows… ;o)

Our support car got nailed! one of many BS tickets to come... this one was for using Cell Phone in the car? losers!

Who we kidding? They're thirsty for blood today! Tickets number 2 & 3 at once! No Seatbelt & another BS ticket. i switched to the support car right before this to do some blog for the night before...
Next stop NYC Time Square! Stay Tuned…
