Sharam laid his underground cards on the table this summer, when he dropped the club smash ‘Texi’. After putting limited copies into the hands of Dubfire, Luciano, Villalobos and Fanciulli, and witnessing first hand the reaction the record received from the floor, he came to HyperXclusive to help spread the love, and build Texi into the hit that it deserved to be.
From that first night at Cocoon in Ibiza, when Luciano and Villalobos both played the track in there sets, the release gathered a monumental pace. Texi crossed genres, reminiscent of the early Deep Dish outings, with its perfect matching of tough techno beats, soulful hooks and evil breaks it went on to become a regular in the boxes of DJ’s that included, Adam Beyer, Laurent Garnier, Steve Bug, Anja Schneider, Solomun, Claude Von Stroke, Sasha, M.A.N.D.Y., Guy Gerber, Danny Howells, Tiefschwarz, Joris Voorn, Sebo K and many many more…
With only one other track that could come close (Joris Voorn’s mix of Robert Babicz’s ‘Dark Flower’), it ranked as one of the biggest tracks of the Ibizan season.
